Casabella has commissioned seven young architects to design a fifty-story tower without defining function or context. The lack of real prerequisites has laid the foundation for a new design reflection. The relationship with the sky and the grafting of the building to the ground becomes the generative elements of the project and lead to an unusual inversion between full and empty. The central courtyard makes the tower autonomous without any need for contextualization. The opening to the sky creates an intimate and domestic atmosphere, which is proposed as the backdrop of a tower that has not yet found its place in the real world.
