the project arises from the desire to overcome the cuts generated by the roads in the territory using sculpture and architecture as horizontal and vertical connectors. through the use and repetition of a structural element such as the highway pillar, “expanded field” wants to refurbish these residual areas. above each pillar there is a different sculpture of small or medium size that give a new value. sculpture and architecture, while not contaminating the formal result, serve each other by reactivating a meaningful dialogue that focuses on the quality of human habitation and not the simple exploitation of the ground.
