topografia passante aims to reconnect the neighborhood through a topographical gesture: lowering the floor level of the aem building and creating a new axis of passage that runs perpendicularly through it. the new space becomes a covered square that connects the upper and lower levels of the lot, removing the topographical obstacle and creating multiple public areas. the project features free and flexible spaces to accommodate the functional program and enable numerous collective activities. administrative functions have been integrated into the building's traditional structural layout. outdoor areas were redesigned to achieve organic pathways by removing architectural barriers and enhancing the permeability of the new area.
